The Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy is composed of 7,462 cities, representing almost 700 million people worldwide. From Aalborg to Ziguinchor, Boston to Los Angeles, Hveragerði, Iceland (a population of 2,333) to Tokyo, Japan (a population of 13,185,502) - thousands of towns and cities worldwide, comprising 9.3% of the global population, are joining together in a commitment to accelerate global progress on climate change.
