The Community Preservation Act charges the CPC with studying the "needs, possibilities and resources" for community preservation in Lexington.
The CPC conducts reviews of existing plans and documents related to the four purposes designated for funding under the CPA and compiles an annual Needs Assessment Report. Annual public hearings are held to receive public input on the current year's report, as required by the statute.
