Affordable Housing Trust Study Committee
The Committee had two objectives: to bring a proposal to the Select Board and Town Meeting to adopt a Municipal Affordable Housing Trust and to develop a proposal for a non-profit Housing Development Corporation or non-profit Community Development Corporation or other entity eligible to participate in the Massachusetts or other community investment tax credit programs.

Community Center Program Advisory Committee
The function of the Community Center Program Advisory Committee was to provide guidance to the Town Manager, Director of Recreation and Community Programs, and Community Center Director.

Community Farming Committee
The Community Farming Committee monitored the operations of a community farm on Town-owned land and made regular reports to the Board of Selectmen.

Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC)
The Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC) was appointed by the Planning Board in 2018 to engage the Lexington community in developing a visionary plan for future land use of Lexington (LexingtonNext).

Crematory Study Committee
The purpose of the Crematory Study Committee was to examine public health, public safety, public works, operational, financial, and quality of life issues associated with locating a crematory at Westview Cemetery and meeting the needs of deceased Lexington residents and their families.

Electric Utility Ad Hoc Committee
The Electric Utility Ad Hoc Committee evaluated the options available to Lexington to improve the reliability and reduce the cost of electrical service.

Energy Conservation Committee
The Energy Conservation Committee advised Town officials on ways to enhance energy conservation throughout the Town’s existing physical plant, including but not limited to all municipal and school buildings, street lights, vehicles and equipment.

Grain Mill Alley Steering Committee
The Ad hoc Grain Mill Alley Steering Committee (GMASC) worked to develop a conceptual design, supported by the abutting property owners, which enhanced the alley’s aesthetic, offered new utility, and improved the safe passage of pedestrians between the bikeway and the Center’s retail corridor.

The Human Services Committee recommended human service policies, goals, and priorities to the Select Board.

The purpose of this Committee was to develop a Policy Manual for the Select Board.

Residential Exemption Policy Study Committee
Preserving affordability for residents was the Residential Exemption Policy Study Committee's top financial goal.

Sidewalk Committee
The Sidewalk Committee advised the Board of Selectmen on sidewalk policies.

Special Permit Residential Development Zoning Bylaw Amendment Committee (SPRD) (Ad Hoc)
The Committee gathered and provided stakeholder input, housing data and drafted a Statement of Values, so that consultants, under direction of the Committee, Elected Boards, and staff, could develop a draft zoning bylaw amendment and warrant article to either revise or replace Section 135-6.9 of the Zoning Bylaw, Special Permit Residential Development, to provide for the creation of more affordable and diverse residential dwelling units.

Stone Building Feasibility / Re-Use Committee
The Stone Building Feasibility/Re-Use Committee explored constructive reuse options for the Stone Building, thereby informing future Town investment to implement the preservation recommendations of the 2009 Historic Structure Report or such recommendations as may subsequently be made.

Tax Deferral & Exemption Study Committee
The Tax Deferral and Exemption Study Committee was charged to review and recommend to the Select Board options for the deferral or exemption of local property taxes under existing state law, or by home rule petition for a special act of the state legislature, that might enhance or make accessible the property tax relief currently available to elderly, low‐income, disabled or otherwise deserving residents.

Town Manager Search Screening Committee
The purpose of the Committee was to recommend to the Board of Selectmen (now called the Select Board) finalists for appointment as Lexington’s next Town Manager.
