Town-wide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan
The Town is developing a Town-wide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. Lexington’s Plan will provide a road map to create safe, connected, implementable, and community-supported mobility options for all ages and abilities.

Hartwell Avenue TMOD Plan
The Plan, originally adopted in 2010, is currently being updated by the Planning Board.

Bedford / Hartwell Complete Streets Transportation Project
Spring of 2021, the Town hired VHB, Inc. to develop 25% design level plans for complete streets reconstruction that addresses safety, traffic flow and pedestrian, bicycle, transit - alternative modes of transportation.

South Lexington Transportation Study
In an effort to ensure that the transportation network in South Lexington effectively serves its commercial districts and surrounding residences into the future, the Town of Lexington, using mitigation funds acquired from local developers, hired the consulting firm of Fay Spofford & Thorndike to perform a transportation study.

Transportation Safety Group
The Transportation Safety Group is a Town Manager appointed Working Group which meets monthly to evaluate issues and concerns relative to traffic, transit, pedestrian, bicycle and parking safety.
