
The members of the Lexington Fire Department take a great deal of pride in serving the citizens of Lexington and visitors alike in a professional and dedicated manner. The Department is composed of 61 people, serving in:
- Administration
- Fire prevention/code enforcement
- Emergency services
There are 60 firefighter / EMTs, 51 of whom are paramedics who can provide advanced life support. They are divided into four working groups of 15 personnel, providing fire suppression, EMS, and rescue services from two fire stations. Administrative staff also coordinate Lexington's emergency management functions.
