Public Building Accessibility
Almost all of Lexington's public municipal buildings provide accessibility for individuals with physical handicaps to areas which are open to the public. Accessibility includes:
- Parking for people with handicapped placards
- Exterior ramps and/or sidewalk cutouts
- Elevators
- Automatic door openers on exterior doors
- Wide doorways
- Accessible bathrooms and/or bathroom stalls
Town Office Building

Accessible Parking & Entrances
Front Entrance:
- Park in the circle in front of the Cary Memorial Building - enter from Massachusetts Avenue
- The front entrance has a long ramp and has a button to open the door
Rear Entrance:
- Park in between Cary Memorial Building and the Town Office Building
- The rear entrance is level with the sidewalk, and has a button to open the door
Elevator
The elevator is in the rear of the building. Coming into the front entrance, you are on Level 1. From the rear entrance, you are on Level G. The Town Manager, Select Board and Finance Office are on Level 2.
Bathrooms
There are accessible bathrooms on each floor.
Hadley Public Services Building

Front Entrance:
- There are accessible parking spaces in front of the building, and there is a curb cut for the sidewalk. The entrance is flush with the sidewalk, and has a button to open the door.
Rear Entrance:
- There are accessible parking spaces behind the building, and there is a curb cut for the sidewalk. The entrance is flush with the sidewalk, and has a button to open the door.
Elevator
The elevator is in the lobby on the right, just past the stairs and across from the information desk.
Bathrooms
There are accessible bathrooms on each floor.
Community Center

Front Entrance:
- There are accessible parking spaces in front of the building, and there is a curb cut for the sidewalk. The entrance is flush with the sidewalk, and has a button to open the door.

The elevator is in the lobby on the left, just past the information desk.

Police Station

- Park in the circle in front of Cary Memorial Building next door. There is a long ramp to the entrance, and a button to open the door.
The current Police Station has no elevator or other accessibility accommodations beyond the public lobby.
Fire Department Headquarters

Parking is along the side of the building. The entrance is level with the sidewalk, and has a button to open the door.
Cary Memorial Building

Parking is in the circle in front of the building. There is a long ramp to the entrance, and the doors have buttons to open them.
Elevator
The elevator is in the hall to the right of the lobby. To reach the Harris Room from the elevator, you must go through the Battin Hall balcony.
Bathrooms
There are accessible bathrooms on the ground level.
