2023 Annual Town Meeting Zoning Amendments

The Planning Board must hold public hearings on all zoning amendments. This page relates to Zoning Amendment Articles Only. Specific zoning language is subject to change during the course of the hearings and Town Meeting process. 

Zoning Amendment articles 33, 34, 36, 37, 38, 39, & 40 were adopted and are pending Attorney General approval. Article 35 was referred to the Planning Board.

Article 33: Zoning Bylaw Amendments for Special Permit Residential Development
Public hearing was opened on 2/8 and continued to 2/15, and closed on 3/1 . Planning Board recommends Town Meeting approval

Proposed Zoning Amendment for Supplemental Inclusionary Housing. Hearing opened on 2/1 and continued to 2/8 & 2/15 meeting where the Board will begin deliberations after hearing 2/1 public comments. Public hearing closed on 2/15, and Board recommend Town Meeting refer this article to the Planning Board.

Article 36: Amend Zoning Map - Central Business District
Zoning Map Amendment for CB Hearing opened on 2/1 and continued to 2/8 & 2/15 meeting where the Board will begin deliberations after hearing 2/1 public comments. Public hearing closed on 2/15 and the Board recommended Town Meting approve this article.

Article 37: Amend Action Deadline for Major Site Plan Review 
Modify Site Plan Review Proposal Hearing opened on 2/1 and continued to 2/8 & 2/15 meeting where the Board will begin deliberations after hearing 2/1 public comments. Public hearing closed on 2/15 and the Board recommended Town Meting approve this article. 

Article 38: Minor Modifications to Approved Permits
Zoning Bylaw Proposal for Minor Modifications for Approved Permits Hearing opened on 2/1 and continued to 2/8 & 2/15 meeting where the Board will begin deliberations after hearing 2/1 public comments. Public hearing closed on 2/15 and the Board recommended Town Meting approve this article. 

Article 39: Technical Corrections

Article 40: Citizen Petition - Reduce Residential Gross Floor Area
Citizen Petition Proposal- Public hearing opened on 2/15 and was continued to and closed on 3/1. The Planning Board recommended Town Meeting refer this to the Planning Board. March 15 revised zoning Motion.
