Lexington, Massachusetts, only 11 miles west of Boston, has a unique place in history as the “Birthplace of American Liberty.” It was here, on the morning of April 19, 1775, that the “shot heard ‘round the world” was fired, and the American Revolution began. Today it is a town of about 30,000 noted for its excellent schools, thriving downtown center, technology and bio-pharmaceuticals industries, and mix of modern life and historic heritage.
