Sustainable Lexington Committee
Sustainable Lexington is a Town committee appointed by the Board of Selectmen
to enhance Lexington's long-term sustainability and resilience
in response to environmental resource and energy challenges.
Sustainable Lexington launched the
Better Buildings Program in partnership with Next Step Living
to help Lexington residents lower their bills and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.
Our goal is to reduce residential energy bills and greenhouse gas emissions 20% by the year 2020.
Results as of August, 2013:
- 874 home energy assessments completed
- 243 residents took action to weatherize their homes
- Savings of 597 Metric Tonnes of Greenhouse Gas Emissions
