Historic Districts Commission
From the Committee charge:
The Historic Districts Commission is responsible for reviewing and approving all plans within the Lexington Historic Districts for construction, demolition, exterior renovations, color changes, and signs.
Members should have a sense of dedication to historical heritage, historical preservation, Lexington's special townscape and the concept of architectural compatibility. The Selectmen seek members of the local business community with the following backgrounds: legal experience or training, historical background, interest in architecture, architectural history and aesthetics, and graphic design training or experience.
